The Balance of Life

How??? Do you ever ask that question once or twice? Possibly more. Sometimes life can run us down and we do not realize it. Life has become so fast paced now days that we forget to learn how to care for ourselves. Some people seem to have life balanced but in reality do they? If they do… How? I am 41 years old going to be 42 and I have 3 beautiful daughters, 2 grandchildren and a loving husband. My husband and I both work full time jobs. Coming home to our family and tending to the house chores is another full time job. Even just maintaining a clean and organized home can become stressful. Not like having a daily job is stressful enough. I love both full time jobs but at times I want to pull my hair out as it never seems that I can balance everything or have anything under control. Let me tell you as well that we are an active family. Not only has my kids always been in some kind of sports but I, Myself have additional activities. I play on a soccer league, paint, write, weight lift and practice yoga. And that is just to name a few. I also know that these extra curricular activities are my choice but they are also a passion. So we got the jobs marked down and the maintaining of the family home…. Let’s not forget the errands. Driving the kids to and from places like school, work, possibly some sports or after school activities. Then going to do groceries or picking up the odds and ends at the grocery store. Oh and the thought of “What am I going to make for dinner?” Wow I feel overwhelmed already just reading this… Have you ever had a mental breakdown in the parking lot asking “when will this end???” I have many of times. I mean it’s common right? I’m a closet crier, I also hide a lot. I suppose the majority of us headstrong humans do? What I’m getting at is that we all live different lives and we carry things differently. So balancing my lifestyle to another's may be totally different. Some might not have a hectic schedule like my family and possibly just think I’m crazy and maybe I am. But one thing is for sure… I was given one life and I will live it to the fullest. Even though life for me can be overwhelming and out of control I don’t think I would ever change it. All 3 of my daughters have grown up into beautiful, smart and independent ladies. I must of done something right along the way right? Regardless to say I have found my balance of life. It may not be the same as everyone else’s life but it is mine. I wake up grateful every morning and I go to bed blessed. I do have to say though meditation and yoga has definitely help keep me grounded! So remind yourself that no family or lifestyle is the same as anyone else’s but we can all relate in some way. Stay positive and even in the worst situations their is always a rewarding outcome.
